YAGL MASTERCLASSES

Level up your craft with our Masterclass Series: focused, no-nonsense training for secondary students who want more than the basics. Sessions are smaller than our usual workshops, so you get attention, direct feedback, and time on your feet.

Topics rotate throughout the season and are designed to help you go deeper and develop your craft in whatever performing arts discipline you prefer. There will be something for everyone. These are not lectures. They are hands-on, skill-building labs that push you to apply what you learn right away. You’ll drill technique, break down text, sharpen choices, and leave with tools you can use in rehearsals and auditions the same week.

Cost is $75 per student, priced to keep quality high and class sizes small while supporting our student-led, nonprofit mission. Bring a notebook, wear rehearsal clothes, and come ready to work. This is for students who are serious about growth, curious about process, and willing to be coached. If that’s you, register early; seats are limited and fill quickly. Your next role starts here.

Masterclasses are for secondary age students (Grades 6-12) and includes targeted exercises, partner work, and performance reps with immediate notes, so progress is visible, not abstract. Whether you’re building fundamentals or polishing for competitions and auditions, you’ll leave sharper, louder, clearer, and more confident on stage or behind the scenes.

All of our instructors are thoroughly vetted and active in the theatre scene. Each of them brings a wealth of knowledge to the table and are passionate about passing down their expertise and love for performing arts to younger generations.

Masterclasses will be offered on a Saturday, once per month, and be held from 1-4pm at

hollingsworth hall cultural center (4228 Boston Ave in Lubbock).
